Services

Mobile App Development, Product Development, UX Design

Prohori, a sister concern of Onnorokom Group, focuses on vehicle tracking solutions for fleet owners. The main idea was to help companies keep an eye on their vehicles and make sure they are being used properly with the help of technology. At the time, there was no proper mobile solution available, and managing vehicles through web systems was not practical for everyday use.

Performance Highlights

Mobile-first tracking system introduced for fleet users
Real-time vehicle monitoring enabled
Smart alert and geo-fencing features implemented
Improved usability for fleet operators

The Challenges

No proper user-facing system for vehicle tracking
Lack of mobile-friendly solution
Difficulty in managing fleets on web interfaces
Need for real-time tracking and alerts
Handling data sync and performance across devices
Supporting different types of Android devices

Solutions & Impact

Built a complete mobile application from scratch
Designed a simple and easy-to-use dashboard for fleet owners
Enabled real-time vehicle tracking using GPS data
Implemented geo-fencing to control vehicle movement
Added smart notifications for alerts and updates
Shifted heavy data processing to the server to improve app performance
Ensured smooth experience across different devices
Supported faster development by moving to cross-platform approach

TechCare's Journey with Prohori

2017 - Ideation

Prohori wanted to make vehicle tracking easier and more accessible. They wanted to create a solution that would help people keep an eye on their vehicles at all times and have better control over them. The main idea was to make vehicle tracking something that people could do every day with their phones. Prohori thought that vehicle tracking should be something that's easy to use and understand.

Experimentation (POC Phase)

The early concept started as an experiment by Pi Labs Ltd. A tracking device was built that could send vehicle data to a server using GSM networks. This proved that the idea worked and opened the path for building a full product.

Development Phase

TechCare started building the mobile application with a focus on user needs. The main goal was to create a simple and functional app that fleet owners could use daily.

Key features included:

Vehicle tracking
Mileage monitoring
Fuel tracking
Geo-fencing
Smart alerts and notifications
Simplified dashboard

Development followed an agile and milestone-based approach.

Key Decisions

Switched from Android-only to cross-platform development for faster delivery
Focused on server-side processing to improve app speed
Designed features based on real user needs
Built the app to support a wide range of Android devices

Results & Impact

Introduced a completely new mobile experience for vehicle tracking
Made it easier for fleet owners to monitor and manage vehicles
Improved accessibility with mobile-first approach
Enabled real-time tracking and better control of vehicle operations
